Those sad eyes were looking back at me as if I had the answers, and even though I wish I had, I was struggling just as much as you were. I was bored with the overdone physical show of tainted affection and the emptiness that occurred after the act was over. We were searching for more, and more brought us to each other. I still think about that, and I spend sleepless nights lying next to you, dreaming while awake of the moment our brokenness pushed us into each other’s arms, and that’s why, deep down, I’m grateful for the pain. It all began not because I was looking for a good fuck. I just wanted someone to live a good life with.
